Ingredients

- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Cooking spray or a small amount of oil for the air fryer basket
Instructions
- Peel, core, and finely dice the apples into 1/4 to 1/2 inch cubes. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, then flip and fry for another 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove fritters and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with caramel sauce or ice cream for an added treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for longer storage.
