Description

A guilt-free Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan recipe that combines crispy texture with cheesy flavor, ready in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 2 large, boneless and skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 cup, preferably Italian seasoned Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup, grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce
  • 1 cup, shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and pound them to 1/2 to 3/4 inch thickness.
  2. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with whisked eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan and Italian seasoning.
  4. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in egg wash, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Lightly brush or spray both sides of the chicken with olive oil.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  7. Air fry the chicken in a single layer for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Transfer the cooked chicken back to the basket, spoon marinara sauce on top, and sprinkle with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan.
  9. Air fry for an additional 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil or parsley if desired.

Notes

If your air fryer runs hot, check after 6 minutes to avoid over-browning. For extra-crispy results, use Panko breadcrumbs.
