Description
Quick and delicious warm garlic flatbread made in an air fryer, perfect for weeknight dinners or as a snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: mozzarella cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, rosemary
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of olive oil with the minced garlic. Microwave for 30–45 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in red pepper flakes (if using), season with salt and black pepper, and set aside.
- Remove store-bought dough from the fridge and let sit at room temperature for 30–60 minutes.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and divide the dough in half.
- Stretch or roll each piece into a thin oval or rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Brush each stretched dough piece with half of the garlic oil mixture.
- Sprinkle with half of the Parmesan cheese and parsley, then add any optional toppings.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Carefully place one flatbread in the air fryer and cook for 6–8 minutes, checking around 5 minutes.
- Remove the cooked flatbread and let it rest before repeating with the second flatbread.
- Slice flatbreads into wedges and serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and olive oil.
Notes
For best texture, reheat in the air fryer. Quick tips: avoid heavy toppings, and allow dough to rest if it springs back.
