Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) green beans, tough ends removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (sea salt preferred)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons homemade chili oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse green beans under cool water and pat them dry. Snap or cut off the stem ends.
  2. Mince garlic and set aside.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine green beans, minced garlic, olive oil, and sea salt. Toss to coat.
  5. Arrange green beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 8 minutes.
  6. Shake the basket vigorously for 10-15 seconds to redistribute the beans.
  7. Return to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until crisp-tender.
  8. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with lemon juice or red pepper flakes if desired, and toss with soy sauce and chili oil.
  9. Serve immediately or store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
