Description

A delightful treat featuring a fluffy, cinnamon-infused loaf studded with tender apples, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk until smoothly blended.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples gently.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter.
  8. Carefully spread the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl through the batter to create a marbled effect.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. While cooling, mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze.
  12. Once the loaf is cool, drizzle the glaze over the top, slice, and enjoy.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp; avoid overmixing the batter.
