  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, applesauce, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in diced apples and walnuts (if using).
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
