Description
A heartwarming apple pie layered with creamy vanilla pudding, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 apples (e.g., Boskop or Granny Smith)
- 250 g flour
- 150 g sugar
- 125 g butter (softened)
- 3 eggs
- 1 packet vanilla pudding powder
- 1 packet baking powder
- 200 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Prepare the Apples: Begin by peeling, coring, and slicing the apples thinly. Sprinkle cinnamon over the apple slices to infuse them with flavor.
- Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the Eggs: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each one is well incorporated before adding the next.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder together. Gradually add this mixture to the butter-sugar-egg mixture, alternating with the milk, to create a smooth batter.
- Prepare the Vanilla Pudding: Follow the instructions on the package to prepare the vanilla pudding. Allow it to cool completely.
- Assemble the Pie: Grease a springform pan and pour the batter into the bottom. Layer the cinnamon-sprinkled apple slices evenly on top, then pour the cooled vanilla pudding over the apples.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F) and bake the pie for 40 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Let the pie cool before slicing.
Notes
For variation, try a caramel drizzle or nutty crumble topping.
