- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter with brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Add the diced apples and sour cream to the mixture.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- For the icing, whisk together powdered sugar and brown sugar with a little milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled cake.
