Description

A quick and impressive dessert featuring warm, caramelized pears topped with feta, honey, and crunchy nuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional, for roasting)
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2 tablespoons dried cranberries
  • 23 tablespoons honey (plus extra for drizzling)
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Halve pears and scoop out the cores. Place in a baking dish cut side up.
  3. Brush with melted butter if using.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until pears are tender but not mushy.
  5. Remove from oven. Top each pear half with feta, chopped nuts, and cranberries. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon if using.
  6. Return to oven for 5 more minutes, or broil for 1-2 minutes to caramelize toppings.
  7. Serve warm with additional honey and rosemary garnish if desired.

Notes

Ensure to preheat the oven and use firm pears to prevent mushiness. You can substitute feta with goat cheese or ricotta if desired.
