Description

A quick and nutritious stir-fry featuring tender beef and broccoli in a savory soy sauce glaze, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add broccoli and a bit of water. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return beef to the pan with the broccoli. Stir-fry together for an additional 2-3 minutes, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

For optimal tenderness, consider using flank or sirloin cuts of beef. Add a splash of oyster sauce for extra richness.
