- ⅓ cup bourbon whiskey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- ¼ cup chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Place the trimmed chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, ground ginger, honey, red pepper flakes, and minced garlic. Stir until well mixed.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken thighs. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- In the final 30 minutes of cooking, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to form a slurry, then pour it into the slow cooker.
- Stir well to thicken the sauce, cooking until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Once ready, remove chicken from the slow cooker and place on a serving plate.
- Pour the thickened sauce over the chicken and garnish with chopped green onions.
