Ingredients

  • 1 chocolate sponge cake, cubed
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 jar sour cherries in syrup
  • 2 tbsp Kirsch (optional)
  • 1 bar dark chocolate
  • Fresh cherries
  • Fresh mint

Instructions

  1. Cut the chocolate sponge cake into small cubes.
  2. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. Layer the cake cubes in a large glass bowl or individual cups, drizzling cherry syrup over each layer.
  4. Add a layer of sour cherries followed by whipped cream.
  5. Repeat layers, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  6. Grate dark chocolate over the top and garnish with fresh cherries and mint.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours before serving.
