- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack)
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Stir in the Cajun seasoning.
- Add the pasta and heavy cream, and bring to a simmer.
- Cook until the pasta is al dente.
- Stir in the cheese until melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
Notes
For extra heat, use spicy sausage or add a dash of hot sauce. Customize the vegetables as desired.
