Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 package frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: pickles, ketchup, or mustard for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until fully cooked and drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk, whisking until smooth.
  4. Stir the beef and onion mixture into the soup, followed by 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  6. Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the beef mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown.
