Description

A comforting one-dish meal featuring tender ground beef, creamy potatoes, and melted cheese, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with sliced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your hearty casserole!

Notes

For creaminess, consider adding extra milk or substituting half of the cream of mushroom soup with sour cream. You can also add other vegetables like carrots or peas.
