Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can creamy mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned and onions are translucent. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in uncooked rice, beef broth, mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer mixture to the baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
