- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can creamy mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned and onions are translucent. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in uncooked rice, beef broth, mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Transfer mixture to the baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Use lean ground beef for reduced fat. Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or peas for an extra nutritional boost.
