Description

This cheesy potato and sausage bake is seasoned with ranch and roasted to golden perfection. An easy, hearty one-pan dish loaded with flavor and melted cheddar.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby potatoes or 45 medium potatoes, diced
  • 14 oz smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or homemade)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. Prep ingredients: Dice the potatoes and slice the sausage into rounds.
  3. In a large bowl, toss potatoes and sausage with olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 25–30 minutes, or until potatoes are golden brown and tender.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Return to oven and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, green onions, and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Swap smoked sausage with turkey sausage or chicken sausage if preferred. Add diced bell peppers for extra color and flavor.
