Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454g) ground beef (80–85% lean)
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) water
  • 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 6 mozzarella cheese sticks, halved

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until no pink remains. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning and water, then reduce heat to simmer for 2–4 minutes until flavors meld.
  3. On a floured surface, unroll pizza dough and stretch into a rectangle about 12–14 inches long.
  4. Spread the cooked taco beef mixture over the dough, leaving a margin at one edge.
  5. Place mozzarella sticks in a row along the long edge of the dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from the edge with cheese, pinching the seam to seal.
  7. Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal sticks (about 1-inch pieces).
  8. Place seam-side down on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  9. Let cool for 3–5 minutes before serving with dips.
