Instructions

  2. Combine cherry pie filling, lemon juice, and optional almond extract.
  3. Chill mixing bowl and beaters, then whip heavy cream until soft peaks form; add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  4. Assemble trifle by layering pound cake, cheesecake mixture, and cherry filling. Repeat layers and top with whipped cream.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
