- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped dried cherries
Instructions
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped cherries.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden, and centers are slightly soft.
- Cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
