- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 10 oz mini marshmallows
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ cup maraschino cherries, chopped
- 2 tbsp maraschino cherry juice
- ½ tsp almond extract (optional)
- ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare a 9×9-inch pan by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly, until fully melted.
- Add the cherry juice and almond extract, stirring until the mixture turns a lovely pink.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.
- Fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and optional white chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Press gently and evenly with a buttered spatula or parchment paper.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
