- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, ¼ cup sugar, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Add melted butter and stir to combine. Press firmly into a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until set. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add ¾ cup sugar. Mix in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
- Pour cheesecake filling over the cooled crust, spreading evenly.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, ½ cup granulated sugar, and ½ cup brown sugar. Beat in an egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Crumble chocolate chip cookie dough over cheesecake filling.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the topping is golden brown and cheesecake is set around edges but jiggly in center.
- Let cool in the oven with door ajar for 1 hour. Then cool to room temperature and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
