Ingredients

- 2 cups spelt flour (or white or oat flour)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup Dutch cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil (or peanut butter)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, Dutch cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix sugar, yogurt, milk, and oil until well combined. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix gently.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake for 55-70 minutes or until a skewer comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes, then remove using parchment paper and cool completely on a wire rack.
- If desired, prepare a chocolate glaze and apply once the loaf has cooled.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
