- 8 cups popcorn (popped)
- 3 cups Chex cereal
- 2 cups pretzels
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup cashews
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine popcorn, Chex cereal, pretzels, pecans, and cashews. Stir gently to combine.
- In a medium saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla extract.
- Pour caramel sauce over the popcorn mixture and stir to coat.
- Spread the mixture evenly on baking sheets.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking apart and storing in an airtight container.
Notes
For added crunch, toast the nuts ahead of time or drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled mix.
