Ingredients

  • 4 medium Apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, Fuji, or Gala)
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (melted, or substitute with Coconut Oil or Vegetable Oil for vegan option)
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg (optional)
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash the apples and cut around the core, creating four large pieces.
  3. Cut the apple pieces into fries, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Pat the apple fries dry with a paper towel.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, optional nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the apple fries and toss gently to coat.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the fries and toss again to evenly coat.
  8. Arrange the coated apple fries on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  9. Bake in the oven for 15-25 minutes, checking at 15 minutes for doneness.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
