Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or your own mix)
- 1 cup water
- Taco shells
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Shredded cheese
- Salsa
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until soft.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the beef mixture and add water.
- Stir well and let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
- While the meat cooks, prepare your taco shells and toppings.
- Fill each taco shell with the beef mixture and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and salsa.
Notes
Serve with additional toppings on the side for customization. Store leftover beef in an airtight container for up to three days.
