Description
A delightful combination of steak and rich cream sauce, perfect for dinner parties or cozy nights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
- 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and reserve ½ cup of the pasta water.
- Season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and sear the steak for about 4 minutes on each side or to desired doneness. Remove and let rest before slicing thinly.
- Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add heavy cream and let it gently simmer while stirring.
- Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted. Add reserved pasta water as needed for desired sauce consistency.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain. Combine cooked pasta with the creamy sauce and sliced steak in the skillet. Toss until well coated and heat through for about 2 minutes.
- Plate the creamy steak pasta, drizzling with remaining sauce for extra flavor.
Notes
Consider adding red pepper flakes for heat or sautéed vegetables for added nutrition.
