Description

A quick and nostalgic treat that combines marshmallow sweetness with crispy rice cereal for a chewy and crunchy dessert.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup marshmallows
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan by lining an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low to medium-low heat, swirling to coat the pan.
  3. Add marshmallows and stir until smooth, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt for flavor.
  5. In a large bowl, mix melted marshmallow with crispy rice cereal until evenly coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down evenly.
  7. Let cool for about 30 minutes until set.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for a week. For freezing, wrap in plastic and store in a freezer-safe bag for up to a month.
