Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by cutting it into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Dip chicken pieces into beaten eggs, then roll them in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry coated chicken pieces in batches until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- In a separate saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and minced garlic. Heat until warmed through.
- Toss fried chicken pieces with the sesame sauce until well-coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh chicken. Make sure oil is hot enough to prevent sogginess. Can substitute honey with maple syrup or add Sriracha for heat.
