Description

A moist and easy chocolate loaf that combines yogurt for a delightful tang and rich flavor, perfect for any chocolate lover.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and fold gently with a spatula.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and tap on the counter.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Slice and serve, optionally with whipped cream.

Notes

You can substitute Greek yogurt for plain yogurt or use nuts instead of chocolate chips if desired.
