Ingredients

- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and fold gently with a spatula.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and tap on the counter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Slice and serve, optionally with whipped cream.
Notes
You can substitute Greek yogurt for plain yogurt or use nuts instead of chocolate chips if desired.
