Description

Delightful Pinecone Truffles with a crunchy exterior and rich, creamy interior, perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.3 oz) package chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed
  • 1 (8 oz) package full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups chocolate-flavored cereal or 1 1/2 cups blanched almond slivers
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies until fine crumbs form.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the wet mixture to the cookie crumbs and mix until a thick dough forms.
  4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour.
  5. Shape the dough into elongated oval pieces to form the core of the truffles.
  6. Press cereal or almond slivers into the truffle bases to resemble pinecone scales.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar for a snow-dusted effect.
  8. Chill again for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for up to 2 months.
