- 1 (14.3 oz) package chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed
- 1 (8 oz) package full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups chocolate-flavored cereal or 1 1/2 cups blanched almond slivers
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies until fine crumbs form.
- In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, cocoa powder, vanilla, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Add the wet mixture to the cookie crumbs and mix until a thick dough forms.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour.
- Shape the dough into elongated oval pieces to form the core of the truffles.
- Press cereal or almond slivers into the truffle bases to resemble pinecone scales.
- Dust with powdered sugar for a snow-dusted effect.
- Chill again for 30 minutes before serving.
