Description

A delightful fusion of classic taco flavors layered with crunchy Doritos and cheesy goodness, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 (1-oz) package taco seasoning
  • 1 cup jarred salsa
  • 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾ bag Doritos (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Once browned, drain off the fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. In a 9×13-inch baking pan, lightly spray with cooking spray. Unroll the crescent rolls and press them into the bottom of the pan, sealing the seams.
  5. Spread the ground meat mixture evenly over the crescent roll base.
  6. Layer the sour cream over the meat, then top with shredded cheese and finally with the crushed Doritos.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is golden and bubbly.

Notes

Add black beans for extra protein or use plant-based meat for a vegetarian version. Customize toppings with diced jalapeños or guacamole.
