- 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 (1-oz) package taco seasoning
- 1 cup jarred salsa
- 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ¾ bag Doritos (crushed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Once browned, drain off the fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa, and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a 9×13-inch baking pan, lightly spray with cooking spray. Unroll the crescent rolls and press them into the bottom of the pan, sealing the seams.
- Spread the ground meat mixture evenly over the crescent roll base.
- Layer the sour cream over the meat, then top with shredded cheese and finally with the crushed Doritos.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is golden and bubbly.
Notes
Add black beans for extra protein or use plant-based meat for a vegetarian version. Customize toppings with diced jalapeños or guacamole.
