  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • ½ cup Panko
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine half of the olive oil with the diced onion.
  3. Sauté the mixture in a skillet over medium heat until the onion is soft.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix ground beef, pork, sautéed onion, Panko, egg yolks, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with butter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Meanwhile, melt butter in a pan, whisk in flour, gradually add beef broth to form a sauce.
  8. Blend in sour cream and adjust seasoning.
  9. Remove chicken from oven, let it rest for a few minutes.
  10. Transfer to a serving platter, cover with sauce, garnish with parsley.
