Description

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (for beef)

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1.5 lbs potatoes (Yukon Gold or red), cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, sliced or chopped
  • 1 bell pepper (any color), sliced or chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt (for vegetables)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (for vegetables)
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Heavy-duty aluminum foil
  • 46 burger buns (optional)
  • 46 slices cheese (optional)
  • Favorite burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, condiments – optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce until just mixed. Form into 4–6 patties.
  2. Wash and cut potatoes into 1-inch pieces, slice onion and bell pepper. Toss vegetables with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning in a bowl.
  3. Tear off large sheets of foil; place seasoned vegetables in the center, top with a burger patty.
  4. Seal the packets tightly by folding the edges and crimping ends to leave space for steam.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare grill/campfire. Cook packets according to chosen method (Oven: 25–35 min; Grill: 20–30 min; Campfire: 20–30 min).
  6. Check doneness. If desired, add cheese to the patties, reseal and let it melt slightly.
  7. Serve by sliding contents onto burger buns or plates with toppings.

Notes

To keep patties moist, avoid overmixing the meat. Use double layers of foil for grilling or campfire cooking for better results.
