  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • 1/4 cup icing sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and baking powder together.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the mixture, blending well.
  6. Stir in the crushed peppermint candies until evenly distributed.
  7. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them on ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden.
  10. Let the cookies cool on wire racks, then dust them with icing sugar before serving.
