Description

Light, buttery, and sweet cookies perfect for the holiday season. Fun to make and decorate with family!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Stick of unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 Stick of Margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose Flour
  • 1 heaping teaspoon Baking Powder
  • Optional gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Put the softened butter and margarine in an electric mixer until fluffy.
  2. Add the sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, alternating with the eggs.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder together.
  5. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture by hand, a little at a time. Be careful not to overwork the dough.
  6. Chill the dough for about 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
  7. Chill your baking pan in the fridge for 15 minutes.
  8. Load your Spritz Cookie Press according to the instructions.
  9. Press the cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  10. Add any sprinkles or sanding sugar before baking.
  11. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. Experiment with different extracts and mix-ins for variety.
