A quick and nutritious weeknight dinner that combines pasta with fresh broccoli and garlic for a delicious meal.
Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, penne, or farfalle)
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- With 2-3 minutes left in the cooking time, add the broccoli florets to the pot.
- Drain the pasta and broccoli together in a colander.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss to combine.
- Serve topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months.
