- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium zucchini, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook rice according to package instructions.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet, add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to skillet. Sauté garlic, then add broccoli, bell peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms. Cook until just tender.
- Divide rice into bowls, top with beef and vegetables, garnish with parsley or green onions, and serve.
Notes
This recipe is flexible; adjust the vegetables based on what you have on hand. For more acidity, add a squeeze of lime or a splash of rice vinegar.
