- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup protein powder (optional)
- 1/2 cup walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas and mix in the Greek yogurt, eggs, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients: whole wheat flour, protein powder (if using), baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely before slicing.
