Description
A crunchy, flavorful taco salad loaded with seasoned beef, fresh vegetables, and topped with Fritos and creamy French dressing.
Ingredients

- 1 lb lean ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 8–10 cups chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
- 1 can black or pinto beans, drained
- 1 cup corn (fresh, canned, or frozen)
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1.5 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 2 cups Fritos corn chips
- ½ cup Catalina or French dressing
- Optional: chopped green onions, black olives, avocado, jalapeños
Instructions
- Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning with a bit of water and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Prep the Base: In a large bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, corn, beans, and shredded cheese.
- Assemble the Salad: Add the seasoned meat. Toss with French dressing until well coated.
- Add Crunch & Garnish: Right before serving, mix in Fritos corn chips and top with any desired garnishes (onions, olives, etc.).
Notes
For a vegetarian version, omit the meat or use a plant-based ground alternative.
