Ingredients

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients specified on the box)
  • 1 ½ quarts vanilla ice cream
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Chopped chocolate candy bars for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brownie base by baking according to box instructions and cooling completely.
  2. Spread softened vanilla ice cream over the cooled brownie layer and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  3. Heat heavy cream until simmering, pour over chocolate chips, and stir until smooth to make ganache.
  4. Carefully remove the cake from the springform pan, drizzle ganache over the ice cream layer, and top with chopped candy bars.
  5. Return to the freezer for 1 hour to set, then slice and serve.
