Garlic Herb Butter:
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Optional: fresh rosemary or thyme
Spice Blend:
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 3 teaspoons salt, divided
Instructions
- Mix Seasonings: In a bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Divide the mix into two portions.
- Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt. Set aside.
- Marinate Steak: Toss cubed steak with Worcestershire sauce, browning sauce (if using), and half of the seasoning blend. Let sit while preparing potatoes.
- Parboil Potatoes: Boil cubed potatoes for 5–6 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly. Toss with olive oil and the remaining seasoning blend.
- Sear Steak Bites: In a hot cast iron skillet with olive oil, sear steak cubes for 1–2 minutes per side until browned (5–7 minutes total). Remove and set aside.
- Cook Potatoes: In the same skillet, cook potatoes for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden and crispy.
- Combine and Finish: Return steak to the pan, add garlic herb butter, and toss everything until well coated and heated through.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley or red pepper flakes if desired. Enjoy hot!
Notes
For even crispier potatoes, let them dry after boiling. Use a meat thermometer for perfect steak doneness. Great with a squeeze of lemon or side salad.
