- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from the skillet. Lower heat, add butter and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to deglaze the skillet. Add Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat the chicken with the sauce.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese instead of pre-grated. Add vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the sauce for extra flavor.
