Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla, mixing until everything is combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until fully blended.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  6. Scoop out tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll them in powdered sugar.
  7. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm.
  9. Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy your festive cookies!
