Description A quick and versatile fruit salad that combines seasonal fruits with warm gingerbread spices for a cozy, holiday-inspired dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed seasonal fruits (apples, pears, oranges), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mixed seasonal fruits. Make sure pieces are roughly the same size.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey or maple syrup, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Pour the spice mixture over the fruit and gently toss to coat.
  4. If desired, add chopped nuts for crunch.
  5. Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.
  6. Serve chilled, popping it in the fridge for 20 minutes if desired.
