A quick and flavorful Ground Orange Chicken dish perfect for busy weeknights, featuring a tangy orange sauce that clings to tender ground chicken.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook until no longer pink and starting to brown, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger until smooth.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet. Stir to coat the meat evenly. Sprinkle the cornstarch and stir constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
Notes
Use freshly zested orange for a brighter flavor. Adjust honey to taste for sweetness.
