Description Delightful balance between wholesome and indulgent, these Healthy Pear Crumble Bars are made with sweet Bosc pears and a crunchy crumble topping, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
½ cup coconut oil or butter, melted
1 1/3 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
¼ cup pure maple syrup
Pinch sea salt
3 large ripe Bosc pears, sliced
¼ cup water
2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch ground nutmeg (optional)
1 Tbsp gluten-free all-purpose flour
1 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp water or lemon juice

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine 1 1/3 cups gluten-free flour, 1 cup rolled oats, ¼ cup maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt. Whisk together.
Add melted coconut oil or butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press two-thirds of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the baking pan.
Dice the pears and combine with 2 Tbsp maple syrup, ¼ cup water, ½ tsp cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss together.
Sprinkle 1 Tbsp flour over the pears and toss.
Spoon the pear filling over the crumb base.
Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the pear filling.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Let the bars cool completely for 2 to 3 hours before slicing.
For optional glaze, mix powdered sugar with 2 Tbsp water or lemon juice and drizzle over the bars.
