Delightful balance between wholesome and indulgent, these Healthy Pear Crumble Bars are made with sweet Bosc pears and a crunchy crumble topping, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- ½ cup coconut oil or butter, melted
- 1 1/3 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- Pinch sea salt
- 3 large ripe Bosc pears, sliced
- ¼ cup water
- 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1 Tbsp gluten-free all-purpose flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp water or lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine 1 1/3 cups gluten-free flour, 1 cup rolled oats, ¼ cup maple syrup, and a pinch of sea salt. Whisk together.
- Add melted coconut oil or butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press two-thirds of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the baking pan.
- Dice the pears and combine with 2 Tbsp maple syrup, ¼ cup water, ½ tsp cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss together.
- Sprinkle 1 Tbsp flour over the pears and toss.
- Spoon the pear filling over the crumb base.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the pear filling.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let the bars cool completely for 2 to 3 hours before slicing.
- For optional glaze, mix powdered sugar with 2 Tbsp water or lemon juice and drizzle over the bars.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. Best served warm with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of yogurt.
