Ingredients

- 1 pound ground turkey or chicken
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 1 bell pepper, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
Instructions
- Brown the meat in a large pot over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Add kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and broth to the pot.
- Bring to a rolling boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished as desired.
